CNPq Researcher/Research Productivity Scholarship - Level 2 Botany; undergraduate degree in Natural History (Biological Sciences) from the Faculty of Sciences and Letters of São José do Rio Preto, currently São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) (1972); master’s degree in Biological Sciences (Botany) from the University of São Paulo (USP) (1978); and doctorate in Biological Sciences (Botany) from the University of São Paulo (USP) (1981). Graduate Professor in Ecology of Continental Aquatic Environments and Comparative Biology at UEM. CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) researcher in botany. Reviewer for several national and international scientific journals. Representative member of the Southern Region of the Superior Council of the Botanical Society of Brazil 2009–2012. Botanical researcher of fruit and seed ontogeny, floral anatomy and seedling morphology, with current emphasis on reproductive organs and seedlings of angiosperms: ontogeny, structure and adaptation/acclimatization.
