Marcela Thadeo

Graduated in Biological Sciences from Universidade Federal do Ceará (2002); PhD in Botany from Universidade Federal de Viçosa (2007); and post-doctorate position from The New York Botanical Garden working on the project From Acorus to Zingiber – assembling the phylogeny of the monocots. Professor in the Biology Department of UEM since 2015. Has experience in botany, focusing on plant anatomy, with current emphasis on monocots, secretory structures, histochemistry and anatomy applied to taxonomy of the families Salicaceae/Flacourtiaceae, Melastomataceae and Myrtaceae.
