Weferson Júnio da Graça

Licenciate in Biological Sciences at UEM (2002); master's (2004) and PhD (2008) in Ecology of Continental Aquatic Environments at UEM. Currently is Associate Professor of the Department of Biology and permanent professor of graduate programs in Comparative Biology (PGB) and Ecology of Continental Aquatic Environments at UEM. Has been a researcher at Nupélia since 2011, associated with the laboratory of the ichthyologic collection. Has experience in the zoology, with current emphasis in taxonomy and systematics of fish in the Paraná, Paraguay and Iguaçu river basins; phylogeny,  phylogeography and taxonomy of cichlids, including taxonomic review of the genera Heros, Uaru, Caquetaia and Hypselecara; and historical biogeography of Neotropical fishes applied to environmental conservation and preservation.
