General Information

  • The Defense Request must be delivered to the secretary within 30 days prior to the defense date, along with copies of the Dissertation/Thesis/Qualifying Examination that will be sent to the Examining Board, when it opts for a printed version.
  • Chapter 10 and the Norms for Writing and Formatting Dissertations and Theses must be attached to the copies of the Dissertation/Thesis, regardless of the method of submission chosen (electronic or printed).
  • The Defense Request must be sent by e-mail and delivered in printed form to the PGB secretary.
  • The file “External Member Registration” is to be sent exclusively by e-mail to the secretary, with no need for printing.
  • If the student needs audiovisual support resources for the Defense, they must be reserved with the secretary.
  • The Dissertation/Thesis Defense Act consists of three copies, one of which belongs to the student in order to affirm the partial conclusion of the degree, which it valid for six months.
  • The Diploma will only be requested after delivery of the post-defense documents (printed, with original signature), submission of an Article for a Scientific Journal (by e-mail) and delivery of the Final Version (one hardcover copy and one CD), according to the Rules and PGB models.
  • The Definitive Version (hardcover and CD) must be delivered to the PGB secretary within 45 days after the defense.
  • Confirmation of submission of an Article for a Scientific Journal must be sent by e-mail to the PGB secretary within 60 days after the defense.
